Spend Manager is a sophisticated, web based analysis and reporting tool that provides a global view of the total cost of ownership of your mobile communications. It provides detailed information about your mobile usage and spend across multiple providers, so you have a complete view of your global mobile costs.

What can this product do for you?

You can have a global view of your mobile spend and usage for one month or over a period of up to 13 months. This allows you not only to get accurate information on what is happening at a given point of time, but you can also see how the mobile spend and usage has changed over time.

This product gives global IT Managers and global finance managers the tools to analyse spend at a global and/or local level. It provides local IT Managers/Finance Managers the ability to log in and analyse spend at their local in-country level.

This enhanced visibility gives you control over the mobile spend/usage of your entire mobile fleet. With Spend Manager you can easily identify which countries are spending more month on month, the highest users and which mobile connections are not being used.

Standard Reports available:

  • 50 highest-spending numbers.
  • 50 lowest-spending numbers.
  • International calls by country.
  • International calls by end user.
  • Roaming calls by country.
  • Roaming calls by end user.
  • Data spend by connection (MSISDN).
  • Activity calls – highest activity calls, messages and data.
  • Zero usage reports – connections with no usage for that month.

This solution is delivered through a wholly owned Vodafone managed service portal. The Spend Manager integration platform is hosted at a remote secure location, separate from the Vodafone environment.

The solution provides secure, controlled and tiered access based on the profile of the individual accessing the solution. This allows for the appropriate users to access different levels of functionality in the system according to the contract agreement.

Application security:

  • Entire Spend Manager application encrypted using HTTPS
  • The Control Application determines roles and permissions based on username and password. E.g. user's position within company.
  • Security Token and Security ID generated at login and tested before every page as secure information is presented during the session.
  • The application times out and returns to the login page if session is left unattended.
  • A third party performs penetration testing once per year to search for weaknesses.
  • Webservers are grouped into a farm and SQL Database servers are mirrored to provide failover capability.

System requirements

Spend Manager is a complete internet application using browser-based clients. There are no hardware or software requirements on the client, aside from having internet access and a current W3C standards-compliant browser, such as Internet Explorer.
